L.E.V. Testing

What is LEV?

L.E.V. (Local Exhaust Ventilation) is a ventilation system that takes dusts, mist, gases, vapour or fumes out of the air so that they can't be breathed in.

The law

The law says you must control the risks from the substances (the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) Regulations).  Installing LEV may help you to do this.

Most LEV systems require a thorough and examination and test once each year (legally you are allowed 14 months between tests) to make sure it works well and continues to protect your employees.  Some LEV systems (such as those controlling more critical or high-hazard processes) need more frequent examination and testing.

It is your responsibility to arrange checks, maintenance and through examination and testing.

How can we help?

We have experience in designing and installing LEV systems in many different industries.  In recent years we have also worked with HSE to assist with advice and modify systems so that they fully comply.

We are independant, skilled and experienced engineers with a good knowledge of LEV and general ventilation.  We are not limited to a specific range or brand of equipment.  We design a system which will work for you and your employees.

With our knowledge and experience we can carry out LEV testing to your systems to ensure that they are safe and meet the necessary requirements.

If your system fails to meet requirements we can also work with you to give advise and recommendations.
